Do my mom and dad compete?

well i told my mom that my dad was getting me an iphone and she said what for and i said because he is far away and we want to use face time and after that her tone changed and she got mad and was ugg you dont need one u dont need one and then she said that she is not letting me take it anywher and she was just reallly and why does she always is mean to me and says mean jokes about my dad and his girlfriend i get mad and she just laughs. oh yeah they are DIVORCED
